Perhaps you could do a once-off fundraising event such as a coffee morning or maybe you would be interested in setting up a local ILFA branch where you live.
You can decide what level of involvement you would like to have. If you are interested in getting more involved ILFA would like to hear from you.

On Monday 29th October Andrew Grehan and Alexandre Savye took part in the Dublin City Marathon to raise money for ILFA.
This was Andrew's fifth time to do the marathon for ILFA. Andrew wanted to honour the memory of his aunt Denise Cassidy, to raise money for ILFA and break his personal best marathon time and run sub-4 hours. Andrew said "Auntie Denise's fight against IPF was mainly down to her own determination and drive. But the ILFA have and still provide an amazing support for us as a family and all those who have to face the same battle". Andrew did himself proud and smashed his personal best time and finished in 3 hours and 47 minutes!
Andrew's friend Alex traveled from Switzerland to take part in the marathon to also raise funds for ILFA. Alex took part to honour the memory of his father, Pierre, who had IPF and passed away 5 years ago in France. This was Alex's first marathon and he finished in 5 hours and 5 minutes and was accompanied by Sandra Souto who traveled from Shanghai to take part.
Alex said "The Irish Lung Fibrosis Association charity is a very worthy cause and provides an incredible support for all those who have to face this difficult battle. What the ILFA does has no border; their work reaches further than just Ireland and was an amazing source of information when Dad contracted the illness. To honour his memory, his spirit, and his passion for life I will be running the Dublin Marathon on October 29th 2012".
Congratulations to Andrew, Alex and Sandra and all those who took part in the marathon for their great efforts! Thank you also to the spectators who cheered our heroes on, especially members of the Grehan and Cassidy families (Annette, Tom, Stephanie, Laura, Caroline, Ciaran and Nicola) who traveled around the course to lend their support. Sandra, Andrew and Alex are pictured here celebrating their remarkable achievement. If you would like to sponsor Andrew or Alex, please click on the link under their names.
Sandra wrote "Irish people warmed up Dublin Marathon with friendship and solidarity. Mile after mile I saw lots of examples that make me a really proud finisher. And also because this Marathon had a special reason for me this year: run to raise funds to help the "Irish Lung Fibrosis Association". Thank you Ireland, thank you friends."
